Planned Giving
Wills
Through a will, donors may give to one or more specific gift opportunities or to the Christian Brothers as a whole. Those who have already executed their wills can easily amend them through a legal device known as a “codicil” which provides a vehicle for you to include the Christian Brothers as a beneficiary of your estate.
Lasallian Heritage Club
The Lasallian Heritage Club allows friends who support our mission to remember the Christian Brothers in their wills, thereby ensuring that our work will continue for years to come.
Contact your personal lawyer and use the legal title of the Brothers: Christian Brothers of Frederick, Inc.
Life Insurance Policies
Gifts can be made by simply naming the Christian Brothers as a first, secondary, or last beneficiary under a new or existing policy.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
When a donor sets up a remainder trust benefiting the Christian Brothers, a trustee is selected to manage the assets of the trust. Depending on the kind of trust created, the trustee regularly pays an amount to a beneficiary for life or a term up to 20 years.
Gift Annuities
Unlike a trust, donors contribute their gifts directly to the Christian Brothers, and the Brothers agree to pay the donor a guaranteed life income.
